The New Year at K-Fit brought changes, new goals, and a weight loss challenge like no other. “Determined to FIT”, K-Fit’s New Year Transformation challenge invited women to take their new year’s resolutions a step further. With four weeks of unlimited personal training, dietician approved meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, and a network of support and accountability, 26 women began a life changing journey.
Each challenge at K-Fit consists of strategy sessions, measurements, and before photographs to better track fitness progress, and this was no exception. Challenge participants flooded K-Fit ready to begin their sessions, get their measurements in and FIT permanent healthy habits into their routine. The challenge kicked off with a meet and greet, at which each participant was able to meet the trainers, the nutritionist on site, and the fellow determined women joining in. Finally, with an outline of what the next four weeks would look like and helpful tips to stay strong and on track, each woman celebrated their new year determination at K-Fit’s Soca Party.
Every week the challenge participants attended K-Fit classes at K-FIt Boutique Gym, arriving early or staying after to “get some cardio in”. Each week they stepped on the scale for their weekly weigh-ins, and motivated each other through the instagram “K-Fit Challenge” group chat. As the challenge progressed, so did the risk of falling off track and giving up. Nevertheless, weekly emails provided participants with newfound energy and motivation to make it through.
As the challenge drew to a close K-Fit was proud to see the amazing changes in each woman. Every woman in the challenge came out a winner and received double their loss as a discount off their next package. Of the 26 women, two women made immense progress and were crowned first place and second place winners; Kennia, ended her four weeks with an astounding 16 lb loss, and Yelitza with an amazing 13.5 lb weight loss (see their transformation photos here).
“Determined to FIT” promised women assistance in fitting into the life they were meant to live. It promised nutritional counseling, goal setting, a support network, and the energy to commit to a new lifestyle. Did K-Fit deliver?
